Atif Aslam to make Acting debut in Kumar Taurani Next Film

After Tere Bin Laden star Ali Zafar bagged a second-lead role in Yash Raj's Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and another one, apparently in David Dhawan's Chashme Badoor, Pakistani pop sensation Atif Aslam has started his journey to Bollywood stardom.

Aslam has bagged the lead role in producer Kumar Taurani's next, who is the head honcho of Tips. Atif sang Tera Hone Laga Hun in Rajkumar Santoshi's Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, a film that was produced by Tips.

After giving him a good platform for singing Tips now plans to launch Atif as an actor too. Vinnil markan, the associate director of Prince, will direct the untitled film.

A source from Tips reveals, "Atif Aslam will star in the lead role in Kumar Taurani's untitled next. Atif has been exclusively signed on with Tips as a singer for five years. But he has signed a three-film-deal with them as well."

Kumar Taurani confirms, "Yes, we have signed Atif for a film. We have already narrated the script to him, which he has liked. The film will happen next year." [ Source TOI]
